Can anxiety attacks cause fever?
Feb 18th
I have anxiety and panic attack disorder. I don’t take any meds for it after 2 horrific experiences with prescription anxiety meds. Anway, I had to go to the hospital today for a minor injury and felt fine aside the simmering panic inside me. However, when my temp was taken, I was at 99.9. I’ve been home for a few hours and my temperature is much lower than the norm now, although I still feel like I have the low grade fever.
Do you think this all anxiety caused? I checked the net and couldn’t find anything about fever and anxiety attacks. Thanks for the input.
I’ve been on Effexor (worst ever with withdrawal), lexapro (nasty side effects) and paxil (2nd worse) that have all scared me from meds. Period. Both effexor and paxil plateaed at high doses and doc took me off them slowly, which resulted in being bedridden and unemployed. I’m not going there again!

Help with panic/anxiety medications…?
Feb 5th
I have been suffering from panic disorder for 5 years. I have gone through therapy where the doctor just ended drugging me up with so many different types of anti-depressants..which didn’t work, they only made me have more anxiety. the one doctor gave me xanax. Only 1 mg a day..to be split in half, half in the am when I wake up, and half in the afternoon around 4…since then I can count the amount of anxiety/panic attacks I have had on one hand. Yes I know…THEY ARE HIGHLY ADDICTIVE..BUT THEY WORK. Also I have found no matter what medication you take they are all addictive. Has anyone found a medication that actually helps with the anxiety? No Effexor, Lexapro, Paxil…etc. I have tried these. Just needingt some help and feedback. Thanks

Best pharmacological treatment for social anxiety disorder?
Feb 1st
For the last few months, I have been on 20mg of Paxil to treat my social anxiety disorder. It has certainly helped, but resulted in weight gain and an increase in cholesterol. What other medications have people found effective, which do not cause drowsiness or weight gain?
I am not interested in benzodiazepines, natural treatments or CBT.

is it the medication or depression making me feel like this?
Jan 29th
i have recently started taking paxil for depression. within the last week and a half. i have felt like i am high on cocaine for the last 3 days or so not sleeping much, weird chest/tummy feeling, racing body and mind, a little kick in my step. which is unusual because the depression usually makes me down. i always have trouble sleeping though. i have experience with coke so i know what it feels like but i am not using. is this just another symptom of depression/anxiety disorder or the meds?
i have not used in over 3 years. this is my 5th or 6th medication for depression. they all wear off after 3-6 months . i have been doing research on bi-polar disorder and am thinking this could be a mania episode although i have never been diagnosed. overly confident, happy and laughing till it hurts one minute then the next feeling down/pissed again.
