Can Anxiety and panic attacks happen over a period of time like a week or do they happen quickly?

I have all the symptoms of a panic attack or anxiety attack but I’ve never had them all at the same time I’ve had them all in the last week or so, I’ve had heart palpitations for months now and hot flashes and chills and random sweating for like a week.
I’m 14 if that helps

Social anxiety may present in a number of ways, with different symptoms affecting people in different ways. The main symptom of the disorder is an irrational fear of social situations or activities, because you fear others are watching or judging you.Another common symptom is the fear that you will embarrass yourself in front of other people. The fear evolves into an unwillingness to participate in many social activities to prevent the inevitable judgment and embarrassment.

In addition to the psychological symptoms of social anxiety, there are also physical symptoms that may be experienced. Some of these physical signs might include heart palpitations, profuse sweating, stomach upset and trembling. When you interact with others, you might have difficulty making eye contact with them and you may find that your voice shakes when you try to speak.

The good news is that there are effective treatment for social anxiety disorder and they usually involve a combination of medication and psychotherapy.Selective seratonin uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are often the medication of choice for treating social anxiety, with commercial names like Prozac or Paxil. The most effective psychotherapy technique is cognitive behavioral therapy, which helps the patient alter thought processes to reduce the fear of social situations. When medication and psychotherapy are combined effectively, you can often enjoy less anxiety and a higher quality of life.

Is this a heart problem or Anxiety attack or something else?

Every now and then I get a really sharp pain in my chest, like where my heart is, the pain seems to last quite awhile. It makes be basically stop doing everything and just clench at my chest.
It feels like a knife is stabbing into it, and my heart is racing when I feel the pain. It just randomly happens, like walking in supermarket. The pain seems to happen more if I’m angry and upset, like arguing with my grandfather.
Can someone please help me. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.

Do you find that you have heart palpitations or irregular beats with a Anxiety or Panic Attack?

I have Panic and Anxiety disorder…..sometimes, even if I don’t go into a full fledged attack, I still get symptoms like Irregular heartbeats showing up on my BP monitor, and feels like its hard to breathe. Is this common?

Just so you know, I am a very athletic 30 year old male, who has had all the other tests ran such as 24 Holter monitor, echo cardiogram, catscans, bloodwork, chest xrays….etc…etc…. my doc’s tell me it’s anxiety….

Do these things sound common?

I take Lexapro 10mg once a day, and 0.5 Lorazepam in the a.m. and 0.25 Lorazepam at night (total of 0.75 daily)

Panic attack, heart disorder, anxiety?

I get palpitations ALOT. I once got them when I was riding my horse and it slipped so I got real scared and got them. Another time that it happend relating to fear or anxiety was when I was talking to my friend whom I am real shy around and got them. I also sometimes get them in dreams. But most of the time they are mainly out of nowhere.
My face gets hot, my body starts shaking and I feel dizy every once in a while but never faint. My heart beat irregularly and skips and sometimes even feels like it stops. I feel like shit when it happens, and I live in fear each and every day of getting them. I am so scared next week at highschool rodeo i’ll get them while i’m doing my event.
I HAVE gone to the doctor three times before–with all three being different doctors but they never found ANYTHING. It makes me so frustrated that they don’t even give me a clue on what I have and just stare at me like i’m some dumbass teenager.
I’m tired of living in fear each and every day, I want to know whats wrong and what I can do. I have a friend I talk to alot, a best friend. I take vitamins everyday and a gaba suppliment–which now I guess is just a fakeout. I drink alot of water, I eat when I can. I have lost alot of weight. My iron level is fine.
